Oscar Win for Two People Exchanging Saliva
Best Live Action Short Film at the 2026 Academy Awards

Los Angeles, March 2026 — Two People Exchanging Saliva, directed by Natalie Musteata and Alexandre Singh, has won the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film !
This recognition marks a defining moment in the film’s journey, following an exceptional international trajectory across festivals and awards platforms.

On stage, the filmmakers dedicated a moment to Nila Jane, daughter of Zar Amir, born just two days prior ; a gesture that brought together life and cinema in a single breath. In his speech, Alexandre Singh addressed her directly: “Nila Jane, you are the hope in a world that is dark, absurd, ridiculous and terrifying. But that is why we make films — because we believe that art can transform people’s souls.”

The film is produced by Misia Films in association with Alambic Production, and executive produced by Isabelle Huppert and Julianne Moore.
